We just got our first snow. Is it me or does it make everything look so peaceful and new. I love the snow, the serenity of it. Am i the only one that thinks this way?

We have had snow for some time now, and are still digging our way out of the last foot and a half (can't even remember where some of the sidewalks are!) But yes, I love snow. A new fall always makes the world look like it was just made, and I love the look of falling snow twinkling in the lights. Our middleaged boxer adores the snow, as does her younger cousin, and would romp in it to exhaustion if allowed to do so. And last night, with the wolf moon shining on all that whiteness, was amazingly beautiful.
By April, however, I will probably not be finding it quite so charming!

It's been 20 degree days here (celcius not farenheit lol) but I can sort of see some snow on some (very) distant mountain tops. Our local mountain had a dusting the other week but that was about it.

I took the kids up into the San Joaquin N=Mountains a few weeks ago -- it was glorious up there.

We've had more snow this year thus far than we've had in probably the last 5 or more years. It was pretty that first day, and stayed that way right up until I had to drive to work in the stuff with idiots that have NO idea how to navigate on it.

I'm more than ready for spring....

We have had a spell of days in the 20's (F) with lots of sun, and nights in the low teens, but no more snow. So now we have some clear roads, and a lot of ice. The sidewalks are like skating rinks. It's almost like the aftermath of an ice storm. Even the snowmobilers are disgusted--they need fresh snow, and the rest of us need safer footing. I am ready for this winter to just go away! On the up side, my dog is happy, as there is still enough snow for her to ramble in.
