Sorry I haven't been on here for a little while!!! I've been having some painful health issues. I finally quit avoiding the inevitable and had an outpatient surgery yesterday; my gallbladder was removed laparoscopically. My best caregiver was my little six year Kondrat. He doted over his momma the minute I got home. I can never be as tough as him though. In a way it is sad that he understands all too well what it's like to be under anesthesia. But, in another way, his resilience is pushing me not to mope and get up and get moving. Everyone at home was soooo loving .

I am sore, but feel much better. No more gallbladder pain, yeah!!!

How has everyone been? What are your goals for 2010?

Hugs and Merry Blessings to all

Hi Willow,

Glad you're through the surgery -- and that you had such loving help <3 How is Kondrat doing? I remember when you posted about his chemo.

Hope this year brings you both health and happiness

Hello Catherine,

Thank you for the well wishes.

Kondrat is doing much better. He took his last chemo dose on December 07, 2009. Now he only goes for an oncology checkup and labs once a month. He will continue being closely followed by them for the next few years and then they will taper down the visits so long as he remains cancer free. He was sooooo happy, he ran around the house in circles for days. He also randomly asks to eat at wee hours of the night just to confirm that he can. This is so because he had eating restrictions around when he took chemo. I did not realize how much he was aware of until he came off the chemo.

So, ya, Mr. Kondrat is a happy camper and so am I .

Well, I better cruise off here for a little bit.

Merry Blessings
